DESCRIPTION:Note that the Hartford Happiness Club is meeting on the second Thursday in July due to the 4th of July holiday. Normally\, meetings are held the first Thursday of the month. \nThe Joy of Petting: The Healing Power of the Animal World\nwith Dr. Joyce Saltman\, Ed.D \nFrom the warm lick of a loving dog to the venom of a poisonous snake\, many species are contributing to the well-being of humankind. Based on her research\, Joyce will be reporting on the latest developments in healing\, both physically and emotionally\, always seasoned with humor. Join us for an educational\, informative and exciting session. \nDr. Joyce Saltman is a Professor Emeritus of Special Education at Southern Connecticut State University where she taught graduate courses on Special Education since 1975\, and “The Enhancement of Learning through Humor\,” as well as directing a summer Institute on Healing\, Education\, Laughter and Play (H.E.L.P.) for 29 summers.
